    Cinnamyl acetate (CAS 103-54-8) is a sweet, fruity, warm-spicy ester widely employed in the fragrance and flavour industries: it builds smooth mid notes and extends tenacity in fine perfumes, soaps, shampoos, shower gels, body lotions, deodorants, scented candles and air fresheners; in food applications it is an approved flavour additive for confectionery, chewing gum, beverages, dairy desserts and fruit preparations, imparting a mild cinnamon nuance and lingering sweetness; in pharmaceutical and veterinary formulations it masks unpleasant drug aromas in syrups, chewable tablets and animal remedies; as a chemical intermediate it serves in the semi-synthesis of cinnamate derivatives and other bioactive molecules, is used as a reference standard in GC/MS analytical work, and functions as a component of pheromone lures or attractant blends for entomological studies; owing to its pleasant odour profile, good compatibility with other ingredients and oxidative stability, Cinnamyl acetate offers formulators a versatile tool for enhancing sensory appeal and functional performance across a broad spectrum of consumer and research products.
