    (+)-trans-Limonene oxide (CAS 6909-30-4) is a bio-based monoterpene epoxide used as a fresh citrus-toned ingredient in fragrances, personal care, and cleaning products; in synthesis it serves as a versatile chiral building block for nucleophilic ring‑opening to amino alcohols, diols, and ethers and for accessing terpene derivatives; in materials it functions as a reactive monomer/diluent for bio-epoxy thermosets, a network modifier, and a precursor for CO2 fixation to limonene cyclic carbonate en route to non-isocyanate polyurethanes and poly(limonene carbonate); it is also employed as a substrate/standard in biocatalysis, epoxide hydrolase assays, and chiral GC/LC method development, as well as in bio-based coatings, adhesives, and surface functionalization from renewable feedstocks.
