  • Applications

    Ethyl linoleate is the ethyl ester of linoleic acid. In industry, it is commonly used as an emollient and solvent/carrier for fragrance and flavor compounds, aiding solubility and distribution in cosmetics, personal care, perfumery, and related flavor applications. It also serves as a softening agent or solvent for plastics, coatings, and inks. In organic synthesis, it can be used as an intermediate or building block for the preparation of more complex ester derivatives. Additionally, it is employed in cleaning formulations as a solvent for oils and greases and in some industrial formulations as a lipophilic solvent component for fats.
