Applications
Isopulegol is a monoterpene alcohol commonly used as a fragrance ingredient and as an intermediate in monoterpene synthesis. In perfumery it contributes characteristic mint-like notes and can function as an odorant and, in some cases, as a fixative. In cosmetics and personal care it is used as a fragrance component. In household products such as cleaners and air fresheners it serves as a scent additive. In industrial manufacturing it is used as an intermediate for menthol and related terpenoids. In flavor/aroma applications it may be evaluated as an aroma precursor for flavor formulations.
