Sichuan Pepper CO₂ Oil, also known as Xuyen Tieu Oil, is extracted by supercritical CO₂ extraction from wild pepper berries growing on the mountain slopes of Northern Vietnam. The wild Xuyen Tieu harvest season runs from May to July each year. Only trees over five years old produce berries of the best quality for essential oil extraction.

It has the characteristic spicy aroma of the Sichuan pepper family: very strong, dry, bright, and rich in citrus-peel facets. Unlike the typical steam-distilled profile, Sichuan Pepper CO₂ Oil has a brighter, more citrus-like aroma, supported by a warm resinous undertone.
