From a technical perspective, Raspberry Ketone is an aromatic ketone with a phenyl group, typically appearing as white to off-white crystals. It is readily soluble in ethanol and common fragrance solvents, making it suitable for use in fine fragrances, body sprays, personal care products and certain home-care applications. It has a strong, well-defined odour with reasonably good tenacity on skin and on soap bases, boosting the fruity impact without becoming harsh or artificial when used at appropriate levels.

In formulations, Raspberry Ketone is usually dosed at low levels to “tint” the overall composition with a raspberry nuance. It blends particularly well with other berry materials, peach–apricot type lactones, vanillin/ethyl vanillin, maltol/ethyl maltol and a range of modern floral notes. Perfumers can use it in red-fruit accords, gummy candy profiles, soft drink facets, cotton-candy styles, or as a playful accent in floral–gourmand creations. It is a versatile ingredient that integrates easily into many olfactive directions, suitable for both fine fragrance and everyday fragranced products.
