Grown among the limestone mountains of Northwest Vietnam, the Bach Xanh tree (Calocedrus rupestris) carries the breath of ancient forests and stands as one of Vietnam’s rare endemic conifers. It is the second aromatic wood species to be listed in Vietnam’s Red Data Book, following the Snowy Cypress (Cupressus torulosa).

To preserve this precious resource, SCENT employs sustainable harvesting methods—extracting essential oil only from mature branches of century-old trees, ensuring the mother trees remain untouched in their natural habitat.

Green Cypress essential oil embodies the fresh, crisp character of coniferous trees: cool, clean, and subtly spicy. As it develops, the scent evolves into a warm, resinous sweetness of wood and sap, rounded by a refreshing herbal-green nuance reminiscent of young forest wood.

Grown in Vietnam

Vietnam is a Southeast Asian country known for its rich culture, history, and natural beauty. The country is also a leading producer of essential oils, thanks to its diverse plant species and favorable climate. Vietnamese essential oils are highly regarded for their purity and therapeutic properties. Some of the most popular essential oils from Vietnam include agarwood (oud), lemongrass, cinnamon, and basil. These oils are widely used in aromatherapy, cosmetics, and traditional medicine due to their soothing, anti-inflammatory, and antibacterial effects.

Blending

Its fragrance reflects the essence of high mountain terrain—cool, invigorating, and gently spicy. When blended with resins like Frankincense, Myrrh, or Tolu balsam, it gains a profound depth with a distinct East Asian flair. It also layers well with classic woody notes such as Cedarwood, Sandalwood, or Vetiver to enhance body and structure. Citrus and herbal oils—like Bergamot, Clary Sage, and Rosemary—also harmonize beautifully, as Bach Xanh carries its own green-herbal facets.

Aromatherapy

Beyond its captivating scent, Bach Xanh is known for its natural antibacterial properties and is widely used in skincare. Its pleasant aroma helps purify the air, relieve coughs, clear the respiratory tract, and ease cold symptoms. When diffused, the oil brings a sense of peace, relaxation, and better sleep. It’s also a favored choice for massage—helping relieve muscle tension, improve circulation, and gently soothe joint inflammation.

Use only under the guidance of a doctor and aromatherapy specialists.
