This is the most widely cultivated mint variety in Vietnam. Originally introduced from Japan and gradually adapted over the years, Cornmint yields a high essential oil output. Typically, it takes about 250 kg of fresh mint to produce 1 kg of essential oil. The plant is harvested three times a year before being replanted for the next cycle.

Cornmint—also known as Japanese Mint or Wild Mint—is distinguished by its sharp, cooling aroma, rich in natural menthol yet remarkably gentle. Beneath the crisp freshness lies a subtle sweetness and a hint of fresh green grass. It is considered the smoothest and most delicate of all mint varieties. Thanks to its strong cooling and soothing properties, this essential oil is often used in respiratory support products, pain relief formulations, body relaxation therapies, and natural wellness care.
