  • Applications

Isoamyl acetate (CAS 123-92-2) is an ester with a distinctive ripe-banana aroma that serves a broad spectrum of uses, flavouring beverages, confectionery, ice creams, baked goods, chewing gum and e-liquids, while imparting fruity notes to perfumes, air fresheners, cosmetics and personal-care products; industrially it acts as a solvent for lacquers, printing inks, nitrocellulose, wood polishes and artificial leather, functions in penicillin extraction processes, and is even blended into fishing lures and insect attractants because of its powerful olfactory appeal.
