    Geranyl propionate (CAS 105-90-8) is a naturally occurring fragrant ester widely employed to impart fresh fruity, citrus and green nuances in fine perfumery, cosmetics, personal-care formulations, food and beverage flavorings, scented candles, reed diffusers and household cleaners, and it is also investigated as an insect attractant and as an intermediate for further aroma-chemical synthesis.
