Applications
Carvyl acetate is an ester of carvyl alcohol and acetic acid. In the fragrance and essential oil industries, it is used as a fragrance ingredient and a fixative to help extend and stabilize aroma in perfumes and other scented formulations. It is considered a precursor or intermediate in fragrance and aroma synthesis and may be evaluated for flavor/food aroma applications. In cosmetics and personal care, it commonly serves as a fragrance component. In household products and cleaning formulations, it may be added as an odorant to improve scent profiles. In industrial manufacturing contexts, it may be used as an aroma additive or intermediate in fragrance synthesis, subject to local regulations and formulation limits.
