  • Ứng dụng

    Menthyl acetate (CAS 89-48-5) là este của menthol có mùi bạc hà dịu, ngọt và hơi trái cây, được ứng dụng rộng rãi như chất tạo hương và tạo cảm giác mát nhẹ trong thực phẩm, đồ uống, kẹo và chewing gum, sản phẩm sữa/tráng miệng, chế phẩm dược không kê đơn (siro ho, viên ngậm), sản phẩm chăm sóc răng miệng (kem đánh răng, nước súc miệng), mỹ phẩm và chăm sóc cá nhân (kem/gel, dầu gội, sữa tắm, lăn khử mùi, aftershave), cũng như nước hoa và sản phẩm gia dụng (xịt phòng, chất tẩy rửa) nhằm tạo ấn tượng tươi sạch; trong phối hương/phối vị, nó làm tròn và kéo dài nốt bạc hà, làm dịu độ gắt của menthol/menthone, tăng hiệu ứng mát một cách êm và bền hơn, phối hợp tốt với các chất làm mát khác (WS-3, WS-23) và các nhóm cam quýt, thảo mộc, fougère; về kỹ thuật, chất này tan tốt trong dầu và cồn nhưng ít tan trong nước, tương đối ổn định ở pH trung tính song có thể thủy phân trong môi trường axit/kiềm mạnh thành menthol và axit axetic, hữu ích để che lấp vị đắng/thuốc trong công thức dược – dinh dưỡng, và là thành phần tự nhiên của tinh dầu bạc hà nên có thể hỗ trợ định vị “tự nhiên” khi nguồn gốc phù hợp; việc sử dụng cần tuân thủ quy định hương liệu – thực phẩm và tiêu chuẩn an toàn liên quan (ví dụ yêu cầu của IFRA/quy định địa phương) và được tối ưu theo nền công thức, độ bay hơi mong muốn và hồ sơ cảm quan mục tiêu.
