    2-Cyclohexen-1-ol, 1-methyl-4-(1-methylethyl)-, (1R,4S)-rel- (CAS 29803-81-4) là một ancol terpenoid có tính đối quang, được ứng dụng chủ yếu như nguyên liệu trung gian và khối xây dựng lập thể trong tổng hợp hữu cơ: dùng để tạo các dẫn xuất p-menthane/monoterpen (ví dụ este, ete và các chất tương tự menthol), tối ưu hóa đường tổng hợp chọn lọc lập thể, và gắn khung cyclohexenol vào phân tử mục tiêu; trong lĩnh vực hương liệu - hương vị và mỹ phẩm, chất này được khai thác trong R&D như thành phần mùi tiềm năng và tiền chất tạo hương (pro-fragrance) thông qua dẫn xuất hóa để điều chỉnh độ bay hơi và độ bền; trong khám phá dược phẩm và nông dược, nó có thể dùng như mẫu thăm dò monoterpen để sàng lọc hoạt tính sinh học hoặc tinh chỉnh tính chất ADME; đồng thời được sử dụng làm chất chuẩn tham chiếu cho GC/GC-MS và sắc ký đối quang, mẫu giảng dạy về lập thể, và chất nền để nghiên cứu cơ chế phản ứng của ancol allylic.
