Methoxy Methyl Butanol (MMB) is a versatile, low-odor, clear liquid solvent favored in fragrance and home-care applications for its strong solubilizing power and high formulation stability. Its slow evaporation profile enables a smooth, non-harsh scent release, ideal for formulas that require softness and long-lasting diffusion.

MMB functions as an effective co-solvent, helping dissolve and stabilize difficult ingredients in water–alcohol or water–oil systems. With broad compatibility across alcohols, glycols, and esters, it reduces haze and phase separation, keeping formulas clear and uniform.

In air-care uses, MMB supports gentle fragrance diffusion, rounds off top notes, and extends the dry-down. In fabric and room sprays and scented cleaning solutions, it enhances immediate odor perception while minimizing the “solvent smell.”

Technically, MMB has a very light inherent odor that won’t interfere with the fragrance structure. It is suitable for pre-dissolving resins, absolutes, or aroma chemicals with varying polarity before incorporation, and its moderate volatility helps manage evaporation rate and preserve olfactory stability during storage.

Recommended for multiple categories-home fragrance, fragranced cleaners, surface polishes, and any formula needing a low-odor, high-stability solvent. Store in a cool, dry, well-ventilated place away from heat and ignition sources; keep tightly closed after use to maintain quality.
