Natural camphor (≥ 99% purity) in white crystalline form. Odor: cool camphoraceous, sharp yet slightly sweet and very clean, evoking pine/eucalyptus facets. Freely soluble in ethanol and perfume oils; insoluble in water. High purity gives a pronounced cooling effect and strong diffusion, helping to “brighten” citrus–aromatic, fougère, woody–herbal, soapy, and candle accords. Typical uses: balms/rubs, hygiene products, deodorizing, and insect-repellent support. Use at low levels to avoid overpowering other notes.

In the heart, it can support tea tree/thyme for a “clean” impression; in the base, balance with gentle balsams (benzoin, olibanum) or dry woods (Iso E Super, Cashmeran). Avoid high levels with delicate florals (muguet, peony). You can round it with linalool or a light vanillic touch to soften the “medicinal” edge.

Wellness/aroma use: the brisk camphoraceous note can help clear the airways, promote alertness, and reduce sluggishness; topically it imparts a warming sensation that may ease muscle tension and neck/shoulder discomfort. Diffusion: 1–3 drops for a small room, 15–30 minutes. Topical: dilute to 0.5–2% in a carrier oil/balm and apply lightly to the chest, back, or tense areas.
