  • Applications

Methyl laurate (CAS 111-82-0) is the methyl ester of lauric acid, widely employed as a non-ionic surfactant and emulsifier in personal-care products, a biolubricant for light-metal machinery, an odorless solvent in water-borne inks and coatings, a coconut-milky flavoring agent in foods and beverages, an eco-friendly plasticizer for PVC, an antistatic and conditioning additive in industrial detergents, a feedstock for biodiesel and essential-oil extraction, and a carrier in agricultural pesticide formulations owing to its dispersibility, biodegradability and low toxicity.
