Applications
Methyl dihydrojasmonate, a mixture of cis and trans isomers (CAS 24851-98-7), is a prized fragrance ingredient in perfumery, cosmetics, detergents and personal-care products due to its fresh jasmine–muguet note, strong diffusion, heat and alkali stability; it is commonly employed as a core heart note to add brightness and depth to eau de parfum, body mists, soaps, shampoos, deodorants, air-freshening waxes and scented candles, and is also used at trace levels in food flavourings and tobacco aromas while complying with IFRA, EU and FDA regulations.
