    gamma-Jasmin lactone (CAS 67114-38-9) is a powerful jasmine, creamy and fruity lactone used in fine fragrances to build jasmine/white-floral accords and to round lactonic fruity themes (peach, apricot), improving smoothness and diffusion in synergy with indole, hedione, methyl anthranilate, ionones and other delta/gamma-lactones; it performs well in personal- and home-care formats (shampoos, body washes, creams, detergents, fabric softeners, candles) due to good substantivity and lasting bloom; in food flavors it is dosed at trace levels to add peach/apricot/coconut/dairy facets, floral lift to teas, beverages and jasmine rice, and creaminess to yogurt, ice cream and baked goods; applicable to encapsulation and controlled-release systems for laundry and solid air care; useful for bitterness masking and aftertaste modulation in nutritionals; also serves as a reference or standard in GC-O, headspace reconstitution and sensory training; note its very high potency, so use extremely low dosages, and its stability in neutral to slightly acidic media with potential hydrolysis or off-notes under alkaline or oxidative conditions; always use in compliance with IFRA and relevant flavor/fragrance regulations.
