Applications
Cis-6-Nonenal (CAS 2277-19-2) is a well-known green aldehyde with a fresh cucumber-melon nuance that is widely employed in flavour and fragrance formulations for soft drinks, non-alcoholic beers, chewing gums and yogurt desserts, imparts crisp leafy facets to fine perfumes, personal-care products and premium detergents, and also acts as an analytical reference compound for detecting off-odours in polymer packaging, monitoring lipid oxidation and supporting post-harvest sensory research on fruits and vegetables.
