Applications
Tris(2,4-di-tert-butylphenyl) phosphite is a phosphite-based processing stabilizer and antioxidant widely used in polymer formulations to scavenge hydroperoxides and suppress thermo-oxidative degradation during melt processing and in service. It is commonly employed in plastics such as polyolefins (PE, PP), polyvinyl chloride, and polyesters to improve process stability, color retention, and gloss. It is also used in coatings and inks as a thermal-oxidative stabilizer, in adhesive formulations to enhance processing stability, and in lubricants and lubricant-containing systems as an antioxidant additive. Additionally, it is sometimes evaluated for elastomer/rubber compounding to improve aging resistance.
