  • Applications

Tris(2-butoxyethyl) phosphate is primarily used as a plasticizer for PVC and other polymers, increasing the flexibility of films, coatings, adhesives, and sealants. It is also employed as a flame retardant additive for polymers and coatings, particularly in cable insulation and electronic materials. In polymer systems such as polyurethanes and epoxies, TBEP acts as a plasticizer and/or flame retardant additive to aid processing and improve thermal stability. TBEP is used as an additive in coatings, inks, and adhesives to enhance flexibility and fire performance. It is also considered a processing aid in resin formulations to optimize workability and fire resistance. Use is subject to local regulations and formulation limits.
