Applications
Trimethylolethane is a multifunctional polyol used primarily as a crosslinking agent in polyurethane formulations (foams, coatings, and elastomers). It is also used as a polyol component for epoxy resins and for polyester/alkyd resin syntheses to improve adhesion and durability. Additionally, it is applied in UV-curable coating systems and other high‑molecular‑weight resin applications, and serves as a building block for adhesives and sealants.
