  • Applications

Trimethylamine solution, CAS 75-50-3, is a volatile, fishy-smelling tertiary amine widely used as an alkaline agent and versatile building block for quaternary ammonium salts in surfactants, disinfectants, antistatic additives and ion-exchange resins; for manufacturing choline chloride in animal feed, pharmaceuticals, herbicides, gasoline additives and polymerization catalysts; and for applications in gas-sensor technology, molecular biology research, water-treatment pH control, odor-marker deployment, seafood-flavor intermediates and odor-neutralizing agents in specialized chemical processes.
