Applications
Trideceth-3 (CAS 4403-12-7) is a nonionic surfactant with a C13 alkyl chain and three ethoxylate units, widely used as a mild surface-active agent and solubilizer in many formulations. In cosmetics and personal care, it acts as a cleansing surfactant and helps solubilize and stabilize fragrances and essential oils. In household cleaning products such as surface cleaners and dish detergents, it serves as an emulsifier and wetting agent to improve soil removal. In industrial manufacturing, it is used as an emulsifier and dispersant in paints, coatings, and inks. In polymer and plastics processing, it can function as an emulsifier/dispersant in latex systems and help stabilize polymer emulsions. It may also be used as a surfactant or wetting agent in agricultural formulations to improve coverage and dispersion when applying sprays.
