    trans-Fragranyl acetate (CAS 51117-22-7) is a fragrance ester used to build and boost sparkling citrus/bergamot, fruity (pear, apple), lavender–floral, aromatic herbal and woody accords, making it valuable in fine fragrances, personal care (shampoos, shower gels, deodorants), home care (liquid/powder detergents, fabric softeners), household cleaners and air‑care formats (aerosols, reed diffusers, candles); it acts as a top‑to‑heart note modifier that adds freshness, diffusion and naturality, synergizing with linalool, linalyl acetate, terpinyl acetate, citronellol, geraniol and green aldehydes to round formulas and aid malodor coverage; its ester character provides good bloom in aqueous systems and acceptable stability in moderately alkaline bases, but optimal dosage depends on the matrix and olfactive target (from trace to a few parts per thousand), and IFRA guidance along with SDS data should be followed for safe use.
