  • Applications

Thiram is a dithiocarbamate fungicide (CAS 137-26-8) widely used in agriculture, including as a seed-treatment fungicide to protect germinating seeds and seedlings from fungal diseases, as well as in crop-protection formulations for foliar and soil-borne diseases. In the rubber and elastomer industry, it acts as an accelerator for vulcanization, speeding curing and improving the network structure of rubber compounds. In the chemical industry, it is used as an intermediate for the synthesis of other dithiocarbamate fungicides and related rubber chemicals.
