Applications
Tetrahydrofurfuryl acetate (THFAc, CAS 637-64-9) is a mild-odor ester widely applied as a slow-evaporating, high-solvency solvent in wood coatings, varnishes, water-borne inks, adhesives, industrial cleaners and metal degreasing formulations; it also functions as a fragrance carrier in cosmetics, a leather-finishing additive, an eco-friendly plasticizer, and an intermediate in the synthesis of pharmaceuticals, agrochemicals and high-performance epoxy resins.
