Applications
Tepraloxydim is used as a selective postemergence herbicide that inhibits acetyl-CoA carboxylase (ACCase) in grasses, enabling control of annual and some perennial grassy weeds with minimal crop injury; in agricultural systems it is applied to field crops to manage grasses as part of weed-management programs; in turf management such as lawns, sports fields, and golf courses it helps keep desired turf free from competing grasses; in ornamental horticulture and nurseries it assists in controlling grasses within bedding plants and container-grown ornamentals; and in professional landscaping and municipal vegetation control it appears as an active ingredient in crop-protection formulations, subject to local regulations and formulation limits.
