  • Applications

Sulfuric acid, monodecyl ester, ammonium salt (1:1) (CAS 13177-52-1) is an anionic surfactant in the alkyl sulfate class. It is used mainly as a cleansing and foaming agent, serving as a wetting and emulsifying additive in household and industrial cleaners, including dishwashing liquids and surface cleaners. It is also employed in cosmetics and personal-care products such as shampoos and shower gels, where it aids foaming and dispersion. In paints, coatings and inks, it acts as a wetting agent and stabilizer for pigment dispersions and as an emulsifier. It can function as an emulsifier and dispersant in polymer and latex formulations, improving processability and particle stability. Additionally, it may act as an agricultural adjuvant to improve spreading and wetting of agrochemical sprays, and as a component in metalworking and degreasing cleaners in industrial manufacturing. Subject to local regulations and formulation limits.
