Applications
Sucrose heptalaurate (CAS 66844-30-2) is commonly used as a nonionic surfactant and emulsifier in cosmetic and personal care formulations, aiding oil–water compatibility and stabilizing emulsions. It is also employed in household and industrial cleaning products as a mild surfactant that supports soil dispersion and formulation compatibility. In coatings and inks, as well as polymer processing, it functions as a dispersing agent and surface-active additive to improve pigment dispersion, leveling, and stability of formulations. In polymer and plastics processing, it can act as a processing aid/compatibilizer to improve blend compatibility between hydrophobic and hydrophilic components. Subject to formulation limits and local regulations, it may be used as a functional sugar ester ingredient in these contexts.
