Applications
Sucrose dilaurate is a nonionic sugar-ester surfactant that acts as an emulsifier and surface-active agent. In practice it is used in cosmetics and personal care as a mild emulsifier and solubilizer for oils and fragrances; in household cleaning products as a surfactant and foaming agent; in some food-processing applications as an emulsifier where permitted; in polymers and plastics as a processing aid and dispersant to improve mixing and compatibility; and in coatings and inks as an emulsifying stabilizer and leveling additive.
