Applications
Stearamide AMP, CAS 36284-86-3, is a fatty amide with surfactant-like and slip properties; in practice it is used as a conditioning agent and surfactant in cosmetics and personal care, as a lubricant and anti-block/anti-stick additive in polymer formulations to improve processability and surface finish; it is also employed as a coating and ink additive to improve leveling and surface stability; in cleaning and household products it may function as a surfactant or emulsifier; in addition, it can serve as an intermediate or precursor for the synthesis of amide and specialty surfactant derivatives and may be used to adjust rheology or processing properties of resin systems. Use depends on local regulations and formulation limits.
