Applications
Sorbitan Dioleate (CAS 29116-98-1) is a nonionic emulsifier and surfactant commonly used in cosmetics and personal care as an emulsifying agent and emollient, improving texture and spreadability. It also serves as a dispersing and stabilizing aid in household cleaning formulations and other cleaning products. In coatings and inks, it acts as a dispersant for pigments and as an emulsifier for oil-in-water systems. In industrial manufacturing and polymer formulations, it can function as a processing aid and a lubricity-enhancing additive, helping processing and compatibility of oil and water phases. It may also provide conditioning and stabilizing properties in plastics and elastomer formulations.
