It also serves in household and industrial cleaners as a gentle surfactant and foam booster, and it is employed in coatings and inks to improve pigment dispersion and emulsion stability. In polymer and plastics processing, as well as other industrial formulations, it can act as a compatible emulsifier and surface-active additive to stabilize emulsions and enhance wetting and dispersion.
