Applications
Sodium Phosphate, Dibasic (CAS 7558-79-4) is used as a buffering and pH-control agent in pharmaceutical formulations and intravenous solutions; as a builder and water-softening component in household and industrial detergents and cleaners; as a buffering and chelating (sequestering) agent in food processing to regulate acidity, stabilize texture, and maintain color; in cosmetics/personal care as a buffering and chelating agent to stabilize formulations; in water treatment and industrial cleaning applications for pH adjustment and corrosion control; it may also serve as a phosphate source in some agricultural fertilizer formulations.
