  • Applications

Sodium Persulfate, CAS 7775-27-1, is used as a strong oxidant and as a polymerization initiator in the manufacture of polymers and coatings, adhesives, and plastics, notably via emulsion polymerization to produce polyacrylates and vinyl-based resins. It serves as an oxidizing bleaching agent in cleaning formulations and laundry or surface cleaners for household and industrial use. It is also employed for bleaching of textiles and paper pulps. In environmental applications, activated persulfate is used for in situ chemical oxidation to treat contaminated soil and groundwater. Additionally, it can function as a surface pretreatment and etching agent in coatings, inks, and electronics-related surface preparation.
