  • Applications

An anionic surfactant, Sodium Myristyl Sulfate is used widely in household and industrial cleaning formulations (detergents, dishwashing products, and degreasers) to provide wetting, emulsification, and foaming. In personal care, it serves as a cleansing surfactant and foaming agent in products such as shampoos, body washes, and toothpaste. It is employed as an emulsifier and wetting agent in cosmetics and bath products to stabilize emulsions. In coatings, inks, and adhesives, it functions as a surfactant to improve wetting, leveling, and spreading. In polymer processing and paints, it can act as an emulsifier/stabilizer for polymer emulsions and as a processing aid.
