Applications
Sodium Hydroxystearate (CAS 13329-67-4) is mainly used as an anionic surfactant and thickener in cosmetic and personal care formulations, helping to stabilize emulsions, improve texture, and provide cleansing and foaming properties. It is also used as a surfactant and emulsifier in household cleaning products. In coatings and inks, it can act as a rheology modifier and dispersant to help control viscosity and stabilize pigment suspensions. In polymer and plastics processing, the salt can serve as a surfactant and processing aid in emulsion and dispersion systems, helping to stabilize dispersions and improve processability. In industrial manufacturing, it may be used as a specialty additive in various formulations. Subject to local regulations and formulation limits.
