Applications
Sodium Decyl Sulfate (CAS 142-87-0) is an anionic surfactant commonly used as a wetting agent, emulsifier and foaming additive in household and industrial cleaners; in cosmetics and personal care, it functions as a surfactant to stabilize emulsions and improve cleansing, foaming and spreadability in shampoos, body washes and facial cleansers; in coatings and inks it serves as a dispersant and emulsifier to improve pigment suspension and flow; in polymer and plastics processing it can act as an emulsifier or processing aid to enhance dispersion of additives and stabilize polymer emulsions; it may also be used as an intermediate or building block in the synthesis of other surfactants and related formulations, subject to local regulations and formulation limits.
