Applications
Sodium C8-10 alkyl sulfate (CAS number: 85338-42-7) is an anionic surfactant widely used as a primary cleansing and foaming agent in consumer cleaners, including household detergents and dishwashing formulations, and in industrial cleaners and degreasers. It also serves in cosmetics and personal care products such as shampoos and body washes for foam generation and emulsification, and it functions as an emulsifier and wetting agent in coatings, inks, and polymer emulsions. In addition, it is used in textile processing as a surfactant to aid wetting and dyeing, and as an agricultural spray adjuvant to improve spray coverage and adhesion.
