Applications
Sodium Behenoyl Lactylate (CAS 27847-75-2) is used in cosmetics and personal care as an emulsifier and mild surfactant to help form stable oil-in-water emulsions and improve texture and sensory feel in creams and lotions. It may also be used as an emulsifier in certain food formulations. In coatings and inks, it acts as an emulsifier/stabilizer and dispersant to enhance emulsion stability and pigment dispersion. In polymers and plastics processing, it can function as a processing aid and surface-active additive to improve dispersion and formulation stability. Use is subject to local regulations and formulation limits.
