    Sepiolite (CAS 63800-37-3) is a natural magnesium silicate clay with a high surface area and fibrous morphology, primarily used as a thickener and rheology modifier in coatings and inks, cosmetics and personal care, and household cleaning products; it also serves as a carrier and adsorbent for fragrances and active ingredients in perfumery, cosmetics and personal care; as a filler and reinforcing agent in polymers and plastics; as an adsorbent or flow-control/anti-caking additive in detergents and cleaning formulations; and as a carrier for agricultural actives or soil-conditioning material in agriculture, subject to local regulations and formulation limits.
