    Ricinoleamidopropyl Dimethylamine (CAS 20457-75-4) is a castor oil–derived cationic surfactant widely used as a conditioning and emulsifying ingredient in cosmetics and personal care formulations, especially in shampoos and conditioners where it improves conditioning and wetting. It also serves as a surfactant in household cleaning products, contributing to emulsification and soil removal. In coatings and inks, it can act as an emulsifier and pigment-dispersion aid to improve stability and rheology. In polymer and plastics processing, it may function as an emulsifier or stabilizer in latex/polymer systems and as a reactive intermediate for further quaternization to form cationic surfactants.
