    Propylene Glycol Monolaurate (CAS 142-55-2) is a non-ionic surfactant commonly used in cosmetics and personal care as an emulsifier and emollient and as a solvent for lipophilic actives. It also finds applications in household and cleaning products as a surfactant and co-solvent; in industrial manufacturing as a processing aid and solvent for specialty formulations; in polymers and plastics as a plasticizer or processing aid to modify flow and compatibility; and in coatings and inks as a surfactant and rheology modifier to improve dispersion and leveling.
