    Phenethyl tiglate (CAS 55719-85-2) is a fragrance ester of phenethyl alcohol and tiglic acid, used mainly in fine fragrances and personal-care perfumery to deliver sweet honeyed floral (rose/jasmine) and fruity tropical–pear nuances, improving roundness and longevity; it functions as a modifier, blender, and semi-fixative across perfumes, soaps, body washes, shampoos, lotions, detergents, and home-care formats, and is also applied in candles, reed diffusers, and malodor-masking functional scents; in flavor applications it may be dosed at very low levels (subject to local regulations) to impart fruity–honey accents in beverages, confections, and baked goods, and it serves as an analytical reference and synthetic intermediate in esterification/sensory studies, with use guided by IFRA recommendations, safety labeling, and stability checks in alkaline/oxidative matrices.
