Applications
Pentaerythrityl Tetralaurate (CAS 13057-50-6) is an ester of pentaerythritol with fatty acids and is used primarily as a plasticizer and processing aid in polymers (notably PVC) to improve flexibility and mechanical properties; in coatings and inks it serves as a softening and performance-enhancing additive to improve film formation and durability. In cosmetics and personal care, it functions as an emollient and conditioning ester. In industrial manufacturing, it can be used as a processing aid and modifier for specialty polymer systems. It is also used as an intermediate for the synthesis of other pentaerythritol esters.
