Applications
Oleamidopropyl Betaine (CAS 25054-76-6) is a mild zwitterionic surfactant used as a co-surfactant, foam booster and gentle emulsifier in personal care products such as shampoos, body washes and facial cleansers; it also serves as a conditioning agent in hair care formulations and helps stabilize foams. In household and industrial cleaners it acts as a surfactant and wetting agent to improve cleaning performance; in paints, coatings and inks it can serve as an emulsifier and rheology modifier to stabilize emulsions and improve formulation compatibility; in polymer and plastics processing it can be used as a processing aid or surface-active additive; and it is sometimes formulated as an ingredient or adjuvant in pharmaceutical topical products to aid dispersion and stability.
