    Octylcyclohexane (CAS 1795-15-9) is a non-polar alicyclic hydrocarbon commonly used as a solvent or diluent in a range of industrial formulations. In coatings and inks, it serves as a processing solvent to adjust viscosity and aid pigment dispersion. It may be used as a solvent or processing aid in adhesives and sealants, and in polymers/plastics processing as a processing oil or diluent to improve mixing and flow. In cleaning formulations and degreasers, it provides hydrocarbon solvency for oil-based residues. In cosmetics and personal care, it can act as a non-polar solvent or carrier for oil-based ingredients and fragrances.
