  • Applications

Octafluoropentyl methacrylate (CAS 355-93-1) is a fluorinated methacrylate monomer used to synthesize fluorinated acrylic polymers with chemical resistance and very low surface energy. Typical applications include: protective coatings for metals and plastics with solvent and weather resistance; coatings and inks with oil-repellency and easy-clean performance; high-performance adhesives and sealants requiring chemical resistance; copolymers or blends to enhance weatherability and adhesion on fluorinated substrates; and surface-coating formulations for electronic or optical substrates that demand durable, chemically resistant surfaces.
