Applications
N,N'-Hexamethylenebis(3,5-di-tert-butyl-4-hydroxyhydrocinnamamide) (CAS 23128-74-7) is commonly used as a hindered phenolic antioxidant and stabilizer in polymer formulations. In practice it serves as a processing stabilizer in polyolefins (PE, PP), PVC and polyesters to resist thermal-oxidative degradation. It is also employed in coatings and inks to prevent discoloration and surface degradation. Additionally, it is used in adhesives and sealants to extend service life during cure and in rubbers and elastomers to improve aging resistance. Finally, it may be used in electronics encapsulation materials to enhance thermal stability during operation.
